What Does Termite Control Flying Solo Mean?
As adults, huntsman spiders do not construct webs, but hunt and forage for food: their diet consists mostly of insects and other invertebrates, and occasionally small skinks and geckos. They live in the form of tree bark, however, may frequently wander into homes and vehicles. They are able to travel exceptionally fast, often using a springing jump whilst running, and walk on walls and even on ceilings.
The females are fierce defenders of the egg sacs and young. They will generally make a threat display if triggered, and whether the warning is ignored they may attack and sting. The egg sacs differ rather broadly among the various genera. By way of example, in Heteropoda spp. Egg sacs are transported underneath the female's body.
